This post is part of our partnership with Michael’s as Michael’s Makers but all opinions and enthusiasm are our own.
I have a really quick and easy craft to share today. These personalized washi notebooks are fun because you can literally write anything you want on them — your name, a quote from your favorite movie, inspirational words, whatever! They are inexpensive, and make an awesome gift too. Really, who doesn’t love notebooks? It is my philosophy that you can never have too many. You can use any washi tape. I found this at Michael’s in their Alphabet Soup by Make Market™ line of products. I love the blue and green shades, but there’s a little bit of everything there!
Plain notebooks (I found these on clearance at Michael’s!)
Acrylic Paint + Paintbrush
Cover the edges with washi tape. For thinner washi rolls you can put two lines next to each other, for thicker you can just use one but to cover the blue on the edges of mine I had to do a second layer on top of the first.
Pull out your alphabet stamps and paint the letter part with acrylic paint using a paintbrush. (I found this was the easiest way to get a clean stamp with the paint. Dipping it proved to be kind of messy.)
Tip: Use a notecard or ruler to make sure you stamp your letters in straight lines.
Aren’t they so cute? I like to keep a notebook in every room of the house for whenever my listing instinct strikes. Tell me I am not the only one who does this?
