Making a backdrop for party photos or for a table is super fun and will make the atmosphere at your gathering just that much more festive! Here is how to make this pretty backdrop for your next party.
Things you’ll need:
3 pieces of foam board
wrapping paper in a pretty pattern
3 yards kraft paper from the party store (at mine it is .57 cents a yard)
gold fringe (I had one of these laying around, and cut it up to use both for this project and to make these tassels. It went a long way, I still have a bunch left!)
Step 1. Hang your foam boards (taped together to make one long piece) on the wall with masking tape. You will want to make sure that the top is at least a couple of feet over your head, so your tall friends will not exceed the height of the background.
Step 2. Cover foam board with wrapping paper and kraft paper. I chose to first use wrapping paper, then tape a two-yard sheet of white kraft paper in the middle, and then make stripes out of my pink kraft paper. Secure with scotch tape.
Step 3. Add your crepe paper and gold fringe. Here is a tutorial on how to fold your crepe paper like I have. It becomes so much cuter than its original state am I right!?
Step 4. Make three tissue paper pinwheels in different sizes. Here is a tutorial for those. Hang them up too, securing with tape in multiple spots, and you’re done!
