Fourth of July Party Ideas

I am itching to throw a party you guys. It’s been a long time. Like, since January. That’s way too long for me! So I’m thinking about throwing a simple 4th of July shin-dig and inviting the eight people I know in Houston to celebrate with me. I guess with the heat it will more likely need to be an indoor, air-conditioned event. No problem, as long as we get to watch fireworks! I love fireworks more than most things… they are my fave. Also, fun fact, husband proposed to me under them four years ago!

Anyway, when I throw a party I like to add one or two fancy touches but otherwise keep it simple so that I can enjoy myself and not worry about too many details. You really only need food and fun people for a great party, but a few awesome decorations can go a long way in creating a festive mood. Here are the ten best, simple patriotic party decorations and recipes I have found.
Remember, if you like an idea and want to pin it please go to the original post (links are below each image) and pin from there!

Free Printable Banner and Cupcake Toppers – free printable decorations are the best because the work is done for you! Just cut it out and assemble!

Patriotic Popcorn Crunch – Obsessed with popcorn lately. This is so easy to make, too. Yum!

Sparkler Topped Trifle – The sparkler magic never gets old! Sparklers with everything, always, please.

Patriotic Punch – This looks so refreshing.

Red, White Chocolate, and Blue Trifle You say White Chocolate and I come running.

Flag Favors – Well these are adorable. An easy way to impress your guests and send them home with a prize.

Confetti Popper Rockets – a great option for the crowd who can’t stay up for the real fireworks!

Sparkler Shield – Let’s keep the sparkling sessions burn-free, shall we?
Yeah, I definitely could have used this as a child. Better late than never!

Fourth of July Fiesta Garland – Let’s turn everything into a fiesta. Seriously though.

Fourth of July Cookie Sandwiches – Blue Lemon and Red Velvet. Mmmm!

Also, this is not a 4th of July idea per say, but it would be so fun to have a DIY photo backdrop, like this one in red, white and blue! Trust me, it’s so easy. And people. love. photo. booths.

Which of these ideas would want to see at a 4th of July party? Do you have any out-of-the box traditions for this patriotic holiday?
