Add butter, honey and brown sugar to a saucepan on medium high heat.
Mix until boiling stirring pretty continuously. Once mixture is boiling turn down heat to medium low and stir for about two minutes until sugar dissolves.
Add in oats, granola, and rice cereal (like Rice Krispies) and stir to combine.
Press mixture into an un-greased 9×9 inch pan. Sprinkle with desired toppings and press them firmly into granola bars.
Stick in the fridge for 20 minutes or until set. Cut and enjoy!

Pro Tips:
If you want to make in a 9x13 pan double the recipe. If you want to make in a jelly roll pan triple the recipe. The great part about adding toppings at the end is that if you have multiplied the recipe it is easy to make more than one variety at once.
Some of our favorite topping ideas are chocolate chips, dried cranberries and white chocolate chips (pictured above), chia seeds, any kind of nuts, coconut etc. If adding nuts or chia seeds you can add those in on the stove top or press them in after.
Store leftovers in an airtight container. If storing in the fridge give the granola bars a few minutes to soften before eating.
