Pro Tips:Before we dive into the goodness of the recipe, here are some handy tips to ensure your cookies turn out perfect every single time:
Quality Matters: Always use high-quality, fresh peanut butter. This ensures a rich and authentic peanut flavor.
Room Temperature Ingredients: Make sure your butter and eggs are at room temperature. This helps the ingredients combine better, resulting in a smoother dough.
Chill the Dough: If time allows, and you prefer a chewier texture, chill the dough for at least an hour before baking. This helps the flavors meld, but is just a bonus, they are still great without this step.
For a Crunchy Edge and Soft Center: Make sure to slightly press the cookies with a fork before baking. This not only gives them that classic peanut butter cookie look but also aids in even baking.
Store Properly: Peanut butter cookies can go stale quickly. Keep them in an airtight container to ensure they remain fresh for days.
Customize: Feel free to add in chocolate chips or chopped nuts for a fun twist on this classic treat. We like to add chocolate chips into a small part of our batter, see what that looks like in the image below.
