In a large bowl combine apples, water, applesauce, cinnamon and flour and mix to combine.
Spread mixture across the bottom of a 9x13 pan.
To prepare crisp, combine oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and nuts in a medium bowl.
Melt butter and add into mixture, stirring until everything is combined. '
Bake for 45 minutes or until apples are tender.
Enjoy your warm and delicious crisp with some vanilla ice cream!

Pro Tips:
After the allotted cook time make sure that your apples are soft through. If crumble is beginning to brown and apples need more cook time, cover the pan with foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes.
If I am in a hurry I like to buy pre-sliced and peeled apples to hasten preparation time. Otherwise, I love this tool for coring and slicing apples.
Freezing instructions: Prepare and cook as directed. Wrap pan tightly with aluminum foil and store in the freezer for up to three months. Thaw overnight in fridge and warm in oven at 350 for 20-30 minutes or until warm through.
Serve with whipped cream and caramel sauce or your favorite vanilla ice cream.
To use a 9x9 pan instead adjust the recipe card to say 9 servings instead of 12 and prepare accordingly.
