Bright + Happy Guest Bedroom

Let me introduce you to my new favorite room in our house - the guest room! Since I finished putting this room together last week, I have been hanging out in here whenever I get a chance. It's so bright and happy. I was going for a palm desert feel in here and I don't want to brag, but I think I nailed it! One of my favorite parts of the room is the headboard- it's a DIY and I'm going to be sharing more about it very soon... until then, let's look at the rest of the details!?

I wanted to create a space that would feel like an oasis for my guests (and okay, maybe me when guests aren't visiting.) We live super far away from most of our family, but thankfully we get at least one visitor every month! Having a cute kid tends to draw her grandparents here. Anyway, it took quite some time, but we really wanted to make this room nice for our guests, and not just be using leftover random bedding and stuff.

We didn't have a huge budget, but we found some really great deals and did a DIY headboard, so we didn't spend anything on the bed except for the throw pillows and white bedding. Then I slowly gathered the other decor over a few months. (Room makeovers don't come together all at once for me!) And don't worry. That is not a real cactus on the chair. I'm too practical. But I found that cute pouf pillow at Michael's and had to have it. Is it not amazing? Especially with the pink throw!

Succulents are always a good idea. I also want to share about the amazing framed photo! It's from minted and I got it sent completely ready to hang. It is what pulls the entire room together!
