Homemade Bubbles
My youngest son is currently obsessed with bubbles. The screen saver on my computer is bubbles and every time it comes on he dances around and says “bubble!” Naturally, he also loves blowing bubbles. The issue is, he is a very independent 2 year old who wants to do everything BY HIMSELF thank you very much. As you can imagine, we have spilled 10 million jumbo jars of bubbles from Walmart. Okay fine I exaggerate.. 10 thousand. Okay, okay. Maybe just 10.. but I am still totally sick of running to the store for bubble solution because it keeps him entertained and I can’t resist his little “bubbles? Momma, bubbles??”
What you'll need for this Bubble Recipe

How to Make Bubble Solution
Here is a quick pictorial to demonstrate just how simple making this solution really is!
- Top Left - Gather your ingredients! All you need is hot water, corn syrup, and liquid dish washing soap!
- Top Right - Gather your supplies! I like to use a gallon container to store our bubbles in so I went ahead and mixed them right in there. If you have other containers you want to store them in get them clean and ready, and go ahead and use a large bowl to mix your bubbles in.
- Bottom Left - Add all your ingredients together.
- Bottom Right - Mix well to combine.
Here are the links to the gallon container and also the bubble wands if you want to buy these same ones on Amazon!

Unpoppable Bubble Solution:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons liquid dish soap
- 2 tablespoons glycerin
- 1 tablespoon guar gum or xanthan gum
Instructions:
- In a large container, mix water and liquid dish soap until combined.
- Add glycerin to the mixture and stir well.
- Slowly sprinkle guar gum or xanthan gum into the mixture while stirring continuously to prevent clumping.
- Let the solution sit for at least 24 hours before using to allow the guar gum or xanthan gum to thicken the solution.
- Use a bubble wand to create bubbles with this solution. The thickened solution should result in bubbles that are more resistant to popping.
How to store Homemade Bubble Solution
- Keep homemade bubble solution in a clean, airtight container with a lid.
- Make sure there are no leaks in the container to prevent the solution from spilling or evaporating.
- Keep the container out of reach of children and label the container.
It doesn't get easier than this bubble recipe! It is a busy Momma's dream! You ready?
