You may be noticing a pattern here lately... I am on a t-shirt making kick! I can't help it. My Cricut machine makes it SO easy. So today I bring you my kids' new Christmas pajama shirts! I found these ADORABLE fair isle pants in both girls' sizes but there were no tops to match, so I just bought some plain black t-shirts and decided that an 'Elf' quote would be perfect on them.
It's surprisingly difficult to find things that are in both baby and toddler sizes - why!? Anyway, iron-on vinyl is my best friend right now.
See our in-depth tutorial on making custom shirts with a Cricut. I'll still summarize the process here and share my design with you so you can make this too if you want!
I used the Cricut Design Space to design my shirt. I used a font called Utah. If you want to use this exact design, you can just click here! I arranged it all how I liked and then saved my design. Then I added the image again, so that the design is shown twice - one on top of the other so that I could cut for both shirts at once!
Items you'll need to make this:
I used some white iron-on vinyl, and cut it to 5" wide. By the way, this isn't a Cricut Maker in the photo, I'm using an Explore Air 2. I love this machine and I use it mostly for one-cut projects like this one! Especially during the holidays, making gifts and fun t-shirts is a breeze. It also saves a ton of time when you are cutting the same design multiple times. I have used it for making matching disney t-shirts and personalized teacher gifts too!
Making sure that my machine was set to iron-on and that I had my image mirrored, I let the machine do it's thing! After weeding out the extra vinyl, I ironed the design onto each t-shirt very thoroughly. (I have my eye on the EasyPress for Christmas! For now my iron does just fine!)
They are simple but so fun and I am really excited to get my girls into these jammies this weekend while we show them Elf for the first time! It's one of the activities on our advent calendar!
Aren't the pants so cute?! The Crazy 8 store near me is closing so they were 70% off. I can't find the exact pants on their website but
