Bob's Burgers costumes are super easy to put together and make a funny group costume for Halloween! Whether you're dressing up as one of your favorite characters or doing it with a family or group, this will be a hit.
Bob's Burgers Costumes
Hi everyone! Last year for Halloween, my daughter had an idea for a family group Halloween costume -- and we all actually agreed on it! She wanted to be Tina from Bob's Burgers, so her little sister was Louise, I was Linda and my husband was Bob. We didn't have a Gene, unfortunately, but he was there in our hearts. We always have a good time coming up with DIY costumes for Halloween - in the past we have shared No-Sew Princess costumes, a Spider costume, a Flamingo costume, Sailor costumes, and a bunch of other funny costume ideas. Check out all of the ideas on our Halloween costumes, recipes and crafts page.
Let's get the elephant in the room out of the way: I did photoshop Tina and Louise's faces over my kids' faces in these pictures. I know it looks a little bit weird. I have decided not to post pictures of my kids online anymore, so this is the best way I could think of to still be able to share our costumes. Love it or hate it, this is what we're doing! I think it's kind of fun. Anyway, let's move on.
Some people might ask...
Why DIY costumes when you could just buy one?
The main answer is that I don't like wasting money on cheap stuff that I will only use once. Now, there is absolutely no shame if that's what you prefer to do. Sometimes you just need to save time. However, I'd rather buy items that can be used again and again - and I have fun doing it! For instance, I'm not going to wear the wig very often, but the red t-shirt I bought for my Linda costume is actually really nice and I wore it all winter! My girls are still wearing their green dress and baby blue t-shirt/skirt set because they are regular clothes. I spent about the same amount of money I would have on a packaged costume, but we're getting more use out of these items.

How to Create a Bob's Burgers Costume
I know you don't really need instructions on how to make a Bob's Burgers costume, but I can share the items I used so that you don't have to hunt them down yourself.
Linda Bob's Burgers Costume
My husband liked being Bob because it was low maintenance and he got to hand out little hamburger candy to kids at the trunk or treat. (Okay, technically they were gummy Krabby Patties, but they fit the bill well enough.)

Tina Bob's Burgers Costume
Tina is my personal favorite character on Bob's Burgers. Her costume was fun and it was kind of crazy to see the transformation my daughter underwent when she put on the wig and glasses. Hilarious!

Louise Bob's Burgers Costume
Louise is the easiest costume out of them all, because you only need a green dress and a pink bunny ear hat! If you want to you can add some long eyelashes, but we didn't do that. It was great and everyone who has seen the show knew who she was as soon as they saw the hat!

Gene Bob's Burgers Costume:
I still have an idea for a DIY 'Gene in a Hamburger' costume so maybe sometime I can make one and upate this page with it. We'll see... until then, here are some good options I found.
