Hello Pretty Providence readers, this is Shonee here again from Hawthorne and Main, so excited to be with you!
One of the things that I plan to do this year is to send out holiday greeting cards. I know you might be rolling your eyes at this seemingly archaic idea, but let me share a couple reasons why I think hand written notes are the best.
1. It's personal. Sending a friend or a neighbor a holiday card that is hand-written means that it took time and energy to find a pen and lick an envelope, just to write a personal message. It means a lot.
2. You could literally make someones day. I got a letter in the mail when I was in high school. It was from a "secret friend." The letter talked about how nice I was and that they admired my kindness. I literally have it still today. Don't think that a silly hand written note won't make a difference.
3. People will like you more.... ok, ok maybe thats pushing it. Can you remember the last hand written note you got? If you can then that's awesome. I know that if you send someone a nice, well-written note that is genuine, they will probably like you more.
