How to Make Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce
Ingredients
- Whole Cranberries
- Crushed Pineapple
- Sugar
- Cinnamon
- Cloves
Directions:
Rinse cranberries and allow them to dry on a dish towel or paper towels.
- Strain crushed pineapple and reserve the pineapple juice that you squeeze out of the can.
- Add pineapple juice and sugar to a medium saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat for 1-3 minutes, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Stir in cranberries.
- Bring cranberry pineapple sauce to a boil.
- Reduce to a simmer over medium-low heat until the cranberries burst and the sauce reduces. It takes around 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the crushed pineapple, cinnamon, and cloves.
- The sauce will thicken more as it cools. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
