A Summer Reading Chart Printable may be exactly what you need to motivate your kids to pick up a book this summer! Fill in the bubbles for each 10 minutes read, or each book, however you see fit for your child.
Reading is one of the great loves of my life, and when you love something, you want to share it. I love fostering a love of books in my kids, and there are so many fun ways to do this.
If you also love reading you should check out our post with our favorite book club books-- there are so many good ones in there. We also have a great post showing our favorite books to give at baby showers and our favorite board books... you gotta start them young!
Summer Reading Chart
Which brings us to our free printable summer reading chart for kids. I knew I wanted to incentivize my kids to read this summer, and decided that a simple reading chart would be a good place to start.
There are 120 bubbles to fill in, and I am going to have my kids fill in one bubble per 10 minutes read. That means that when the entire chart is filled in they will have read for 20 hours.
I like that because it is a significant goal, but also TOTALLY do able over the course of the summer. I have a feeling some of my kids will complete more than one full chart to collect their special prizes.
