Please tell me we aren't the only ones who live off of smoothies in the summertime? I just can't bear to eat hot food three meals a day in this heat, and a smoothie is one of the only ways my children will eat fruits or vegetables (sad but true)!

Strawberry Peach Smoothie

Suffice it to say, smoothies are happening multiple times a day around here! Strawberries and peaches are two of my favorite fruits and one the best fruit pairings, in my humble opinion, so this easy strawberry peach smoothie was a natural winner at our house.

I like thick smoothies, so I love throwing in some oats or granola to thicken things up, but if you aren't a fan and want to leave them out your smoothie will still be delicious!

How to Make a Perfect Smoothie

  • Add your liquid first! Everything will blend more smoothly if you put your liquid at the bottom.
  • Next add in your thickener. This would be things like frozen fruit, bananas or ice.
  • Everything else goes in last, think oatmeal, protein powder, spinach leaves and sweeteners.
  • The great thing about smoothies is that they are super easy to fix if you "mess up." If your smoothie tastes too tart, add in some yogurt or honey and blend again until you achieve the taste and consistency you are looking for!
