If you love the smoothie bowls at Jamba Juice you are going to love this Chunky Strawberry Bowl Copy Cat recipe!
Strawberry smoothie bowl in a white bowl topped with fresh fruit and granola

I am in love with Jamba Juice. I swear I could eat there every day. Unfortunately, they don’t have a location where I live. (What the heck?!) It is so hot here I crave one once a day…at least.

We have a really yummy copycat recipe of Jamba’s Caribbean Passion smoothie, and I’m loving this easy green smoothie lately too, but when I’m using it as a meal replacement I just really love Jamba’s bowls!

Chunky Strawberry Bowl

One of my favorite smoothies to get there is the chunky strawberry bowl! It is so delicious, and filling. I have been craving it all the time for breakfast, lunch or a healthy treat.

So, this week I made it my mission to make my own version, and it is dang good, if I do say so myself ;)! I love the unexpected marriage of strawberries and peanut butter. I feel like that extra protein gives me the burst I need in the mornings to make it through these hot summer days!

Jamba’s Chunky Strawberry Bowl Ingredients

  • Oats
  • Yogurt
  • Frozen Banana
  • Frozen Strawberries
  • Peanut Butter
  • Milk
  • Granola and Fresh Bananas to Top

ingredients necessary to make a smoothie bowl on a granite countertop

All you do is put everything in a blender (we LOVE our Blendtec, totally worth that price tag) and once blended pour into a bowl. Then top with fresh fruit and granola!

Here is what it looks like after blended, if you prefer to eat this out of a cup that is totally fine two of course, but I like eating mine in a bowl like they serve at Jamba Juice!

Pro Smoothie Making Tips:

  • Add liquid and yogurt into the blender first, this helps everything blend more smoothly without jamming your blender.
  • If you don’t have a frozen banana ready, you can substitute a fresh banana and a few ice cubes.
  • For a nice consistency, you will need to use a powerful blender. We love our Blendtec! This KitchenAid Blender is great too and it comes in so many fun colors.

If you try this recipe and like it as much as we do we would love for you to leave us a comment to let us know! They always make our day!

I love everything about this smoothie, but here are two of my favorite things: number one, it is so thick and delicious. Second, no added sugar!

Woo hoo for delicious healthfulness.

The reason that you didn’t have to put any added sugar is because your ingredients added it for you. Yogurt has added sugar, and granola and peanut butter are packed with it. Having said that, I specifically sought out this recipe because it’s delicious and fresh tasting. I just think it’s important to be clear with yourself and your readers about what’s in it so that everyone can plan accordingly.

My boyfriend and I have been making our version of the CSS and it was good but I tried your recipe this morning and loved it! The Jamba Juice near me is ALWAYS out of peanut butter or yellow fresh bananas or I would buy them 2-3 times a week;now I dont have to. Thank u!

The granola is a staple at Costco, as well, and has been for a number of years. It’s made by Nature’s Path. Like Kelly said ^^^, it’s the Pumpkin Seed and Flax granola.

        Quick cook? Or steel cook?

Quick cook oats are just cut really skinny (like would be in an instant oatmeal packet) they are just flat, but really any oats should work fine!

Great post. I found this through the Create and Inspire linky party. I linked in a rhubarb and banana jam I did to use up old bananas.
