I am in love with Jamba Juice. I swear I could eat there every day. Unfortunately, they don’t have a location where I live. (What the heck?!) It is so hot here I crave one once a day…at least.
We have a really yummy copycat recipe of Jamba’s Caribbean Passion smoothie, and I’m loving this easy green smoothie lately too, but when I’m using it as a meal replacement I just really love Jamba’s bowls!
Chunky Strawberry Bowl
One of my favorite smoothies to get there is the chunky strawberry bowl! It is so delicious, and filling. I have been craving it all the time for breakfast, lunch or a healthy treat.
So, this week I made it my mission to make my own version, and it is dang good, if I do say so myself ;)! I love the unexpected marriage of strawberries and peanut butter. I feel like that extra protein gives me the burst I need in the mornings to make it through these hot summer days!

All you do is put everything in a blender (we LOVE our Blendtec, totally worth that price tag) and once blended pour into a bowl. Then top with fresh fruit and granola!
Here is what it looks like after blended, if you prefer to eat this out of a cup that is totally fine two of course, but I like eating mine in a bowl like they serve at Jamba Juice!
Pro Smoothie Making Tips:
- Add liquid and yogurt into the blender first, this helps everything blend more smoothly without jamming your blender.
- If you don’t have a frozen banana ready, you can substitute a fresh banana and a few ice cubes.
- For a nice consistency, you will need to use a powerful blender. We love our Blendtec! This KitchenAid Blender is great too and it comes in so many fun colors.
You ready for the easy recipe? Let’s do this!
If you try this recipe and like it as much as we do we would love for you to leave us a comment to let us know! They always make our day!

I love everything about this smoothie, but here are two of my favorite things: number one, it is so thick and delicious. Second, no added sugar!
Woo hoo for delicious healthfulness.
dang delicious!!!! love this one so much!
I seriously don’t mind waking up when this smoothie is waiting for me. So delicious! Also a Jumbo Juice fan although it’s been a while since I’ve been!
I made this in my Vitamix and it was so easy and delicious! My youngest kept asking for some so I will have to make more next time!
This was the absolute perfect breakfast ever. SO easy and omg delicious. Loved it!
Oh wow! This looks so good. Can’t wait to try it.
i looked at so many recipes for this before finding yours. this is going to save me sooooo much money. i go to jamba way too often, all three employees know not just my order but know me by name. im writing this comment while eating my first try at your recipe. delicious!
Oh YAY!!! I am so so glad that you love it as much as I do! Seriously Jamba is so yummy but it really adds up! Thanks for commenting, made my day.
The reason that you didn’t have to put any added sugar is because your ingredients added it for you. Yogurt has added sugar, and granola and peanut butter are packed with it. Having said that, I specifically sought out this recipe because it’s delicious and fresh tasting. I just think it’s important to be clear with yourself and your readers about what’s in it so that everyone can plan accordingly.
My boyfriend and I have been making our version of the CSS and it was good but I tried your recipe this morning and loved it! The Jamba Juice near me is ALWAYS out of peanut butter or yellow fresh bananas or I would buy them 2-3 times a week;now I dont have to. Thank u!
Yay!! So so glad you love it as much as I do! Best ever!
What kind of yogurt works best?
just made this and it tastes exactly like it! thank you so much I love this recipe! and by the way all you have to do is go to Walmart, and they sell organic pumpkin flax seed granola and that’s what they use an actual recipe
No way!!! Thank you so much for the tip! I can’t wait to buy some!
The granola is a staple at Costco, as well, and has been for a number of years. It’s made by Nature’s Path. Like Kelly said ^^^, it’s the Pumpkin Seed and Flax granola.
Chunky Strawberry is the only thing I’ve tasted at JJ. I used to have one every Friday when I worked in NYC. I love this!!!! Can’t wait to make it!!!
Are the oats cooked or just raw?
Just raw!!
Quick cook? Or steel cook?
Quick cook oats are just cut really skinny (like would be in an instant oatmeal packet) they are just flat, but really any oats should work fine!
I’ve never been to Jamba Juice but that looks delicious!
Yum! Thanks for giving us the recipe!! I LOVE JAMBA JUICE
Great post. I found this through the Create and Inspire linky party. I linked in a rhubarb and banana jam I did to use up old bananas.
Cheers
Great recipe! Love strawberries!! Thanks for sharing at the Pomp Party! Pinning to our Pomp Party board!
