This easy monkey bread recipe made with biscuits is a warm, gooey, caramel breakfast treat!

Caramel pecan Monkey Bread on a white plate

Monkey bread is a super easy treat that is a favorite for special occasions or holidays.

This sweet, gooey, and irresistible pull-apart bread is made by rolling small pieces of biscuit dough, stacking them together in a bundt pan or a baking dish, and pouring caramel and pecans all over it.

It’s super easy to prepare and is done in 30 minutes!

This Recipe for Monkey Bread is the perfect indulgence

I know there are a bunch of different names for this. My sister-in-law calls it Coffee Caramel Ring. Do you know another name for it? Whatever you call it, it's delicious and you should put it on the menu for your next special occasion! For special breakfasts we also like to make the World's Best Breakfast Casserole and German Pancakes.

Let's just get it out of the way. Monkey Bread is not low-cal. Absolutely not. It's an indulgence.

Pssst, if you like this you should check out our Breakfast page, or our Desserts page. I can't decide where this stuff belongs...

    1. Sprinkle 2 Tablespoons of chopped pecans into the bottom of buttered bundt pan.
    2. Put half of the rolled biscuits into the pan.
    3. Pour half of the caramel mixture over the biscuits.
    4. Add the rest of the biscuits and then pour the rest of the caramel over that.

Bake at 375 degrees for about 25 minutes - until golden brown.

Invert the monkey bread onto wax paper immediately, and serve it while it's warm!

How to make Caramel Monkey Bread without a bundt pan

Don't have one? That's okay. You can bake it in a small baking dish like an 8x8, 9x9, a bread pan or even a muffin tin.

    Monkey Bread Recipe Easy Variations

Nut-Free Monkey Bread: You can make monkey bread without chopped pecans if you prefer to leave nuts out of the recipe.

Apple Fritter Monkey Bread: Add diced apples and cinnamon sugar between the two layers of biscuits to make apple fritter monkey bread.

Cinnamon Roll Monkey Bread: Substitute Pillsbury cinnamon rolls for the biscuits in this recipe. After you pull the monkey bread out of the oven, open the icing packet that comes with the cinnamon rolls. Drizzle icing over the top of the monkey bread.

    Easy Monkey Bread Recipe Tips

Invert the monkey bread onto a plate lined with wax paper after removing it from the oven. The wax paper will make clean-up a lot easier!

Monkey bread is best enjoyed immediately.

How to store Caramel Monkey Bread

Store monkey bread in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.

I don't think it would be deep enough and the bread may bubble over. You could try a bread pan and maybe halve the recipe?
