Top Left - Gather your ingredients. Bake brownies according to package or recipe directions. Let cool.

Top Right - Cut brownies into small squares and layer ⅓ on the bottom of a clean trifle dish.

Bottom Left - Slice bananas and add them over the brownie layer.

Bottom Right - Slice strawberries and add them on top of the bananas. I like to work from the outside in, so I can ensure the outside edge lines up well and makes the trifle look pretty.

Brownie Trifle Recipe Pro Tips

  • If you are preparing your brownie trifle a significant amount of time before serving, toss your sliced bananas in a small amount of lemon juice to keep them from browning.
  • When assembling your trifle, work each layer from the outside in. This keeps the trifle looking beautiful and staying in layers.
  • If you want to make homemade brownies instead of using a box mix, we love this recipe.

Strawberry Banana Trifle Storage

Storing a brownie Heath bar trifle with strawberries, bananas, and whipped cream requires some care to maintain its freshness and prevent it from becoming too soggy. Here's how to store it:

Refrigeration:

The trifle should be stored in the refrigerator, as it contains whipped cream and fresh fruits, both of which are perishable. Refrigeration helps keep the dessert safe to eat for a longer period.

Cover Tightly:

To prevent the trifle from absorbing unwanted odors from the fridge and to maintain its texture, cover the trifle dish tightly with plastic wrap or airtight lids. Ensure that the cover is snug to create an airtight seal.

Individual Portions:

If possible, portion out individual servings of the trifle into smaller containers with lids. This way, you can take out one serving at a time without exposing the entire trifle to air and moisture, which can lead to sogginess.

Consume Promptly:

A trifle is best when enjoyed within a day or two of assembling it. While it can be stored for a longer period, the texture of the cake and toppings may change over time, and it might become less visually appealing.

Layer Separation:

Keep in mind that over time, the layers in the trifle may start to mix together slightly. The whipped cream may lose some of its fluffiness, and the cake and toppings might become softer. This is normal for a trifle.

If you make this trifle and enjoy it we'd love for you to leave us a positive comment and review! They mean so much to us.
