Create your favorite cider at home with this quick and easy Starbucks Copy Cat Apple Cider recipe.

caramel apple cider on black tea towel by cinnamon sticks

The other day we were at play group and one of the moms made a super yummy apple cider. I had asked her about the recipe and she told me it was a Starbucks Copy Cat Caramel Apple Cider. Creating our favorite restaurants recipes at home is one of my favorite things to do!

Before we had kids, my husband and I used to go out to eat every day. Not only is that not in the budget anymore with a growing family, but taking two toddlers out anywhere is more work than it is fun.

If you like copycat recipes as much as we do you should also check out our yummy Chick-Fil-A Peppermint Shake Copycat or our Chick-Fil-A Frosted Lemonade! Mmmm. They are all so good!

    Anyway, back to apple cider!

    Starbucks Caramel Apple Cider

So as soon as I got home from playgroup I started playing around with this cider recipe for my hubby to have him taste it. After a few tweaks we got it just right! I got a caramel apple cider from Starbucks the next day just to see if it tasted similar and our recipe was spot on! We now have a new favorite fall and winter drink, apple cider.

    Caramel Apple Cider Ingredients

    • Real Apple Juice
    • Whipped Cream
    • Caramel
    • White Sugar
    • Brown Sugar
    • Water
    • Cinnamon

two clear mugs of apple cider on a black tea towel against a white backsplash

    Cinnamon Syrup

Since this recipe starts out with your favorite pressed apple juice, it is so simple and easy to make! The thing that takes it over the top though is this easy cinnamon syrup!

process shots of making cinnamon syrup

(Top Left) Gather Your Ingredients. (Top Right) Bring water and sugars to a boil. (Bottom Left) Whisk in cinnamon until well combined. (Bottom Right) Keep in the fridge for up to one month.

    Pro Tips:

    • You can easily make this recipe for a party or a large group as well. In a crockpot add 12 cups of your favorite apple cider and heat on low for 2 hours. Make your cinnamon syrup as directed and add the entire batch into the crock pot and whisk to combine. Garnish with whipped cream and caramel.
    • Use your favorite store bough caramel sauce (I like Torani or Ghiradeli) or you can make your own using this recipe.
    • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to ten days. The cinnamon syrup will keep in the fridge for up to a month in an airtight container.
    • You can substitute water and a mulled spice bag for fresh apple juice if desired.

If you make this recipe we would love for you to comment and leave a positive review! They mean a lot to us!

LOOOOVE this recipe! I was blown away by how similar it was to the Starbucks caramel apple spice. I am making it for a big group tonight for a football game. Can’t wait to see how they like it!

Hey Sara Beth! Mulling Spices are often used to make apple cider and when mixed with water give the taste of apples. You can also substitute 1 cup of apple juice for the 1 cup of water and mulling spices. Hope that helps :)
