Strawberry Banana Protein Smoothie
Ingredients:
- Frozen Strawberries
- Frozen Bananas
- Greek Yogurt
- Peanut Butter
- Milk
Add all ingredients to blender and blend until it's completely mixed.
Pro Tips:
- For a nice consistency, you will need to use a powerful blender. We love our Blendtec! This KitchenAid Blender is great too and it comes in so many fun colors.
- You can sub plain Greek yogurt for flavors like Vanilla or Strawberry.
- I've used both fresh fruit that I've put in the freezer the night before and store-bought frozen fruit. Fresh fruit is a little bit more flavorful, but either will work!
How to Freeze Fresh Fruit for Smoothies
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This keeps the fruit from sticking.
- Wash fruit and slice, if it's big fruit like bananas, mango, peaches, etc.
- For berries, just wash and remove stems.
- Evenly space fruit onto baking sheet, and freeze.
- Once the fruit is frozen, remove the baking sheet and move fruit to freezer bags.
- Store in the freezer until ready to use.
One of the things I love about this smoothie is the mix of flavors. The strawberries and bananas mix perfectly with peanut butter for a creamy, sweet refreshing sip every time.
Since this smoothie has 19 grams of protein per serving, it helps us get going and stay going throughout the day.
