Everyone needs a box of sunshine in their life from time to time am I right?! I had so much fun using my Cricut Maker to create the tags and vinyl for this fun, bright and easy gift box idea! I think it would be equally cute in a jar, basket, or gift bag.

Box of Sunshine
I first got the idea for this easy box of sunshine gift years ago when our friend and contributor Kelly shared this sunshine in a jar post on the blog. I loved how bright and happy it was, and have always wanted to make one for someone I love.
It feels so good to finally have done it, and it was easier than I thought it would be! You ready for the tutorial?
How to Make a Box of Sunshine Gift
Here is everything you need to know about making your own box of sunshine using a Cricut machine. I already want to make a few more to have on hand for a rainy day.

Instructions
- Open our design space file for the box of sunshine gift and click the green make it button. Make sure you select the correct material size, mine was 8.5x11 cardstock. Load your mat, click the button for fast mode, and press go. The computer will notify you when it is time to switch tools.
- Watch as your Cricut writes and cuts out your tags. Peel away the excess cardstock and gently use your scraper tool to remove tags from mat.
- Meanwhile your machine will be cutting out your gold vinyl decals. Once they are finished cutting carefully weed your designs and apply them to transfer tape. Then, carefully position your vinyl where you want it on your box and press down. Slowly remove transfer tape.
- Now your box is ready to load! Tie your tags onto your various gift items and arrange them in your box.
