birds eye view of no bake cheerio bars on quartz countertopWhen you have need of a little sweet treat and don’t have anything sitting around, these peanut butter cheerio bars are the perfect solution! Not only do they take 15 minutes to make (including cooling time), but I usually have everything I need in my pantry just waiting to be transformed.

Peanut Butter Cheerio Bars

Some cheerio bar recipes use butter and marshmallows like Rice Krispie treats, and while those can be tasty I prefer this “healthier” version.

If you love no-bake treats, you will definitely also want to try our perfect no-bake cookies or our yummy homemade granola bars!

Cheerio Bars

You ready to see first hand just how simple this cheerio bars recipe really is to make? Let’s do this.

Top Left – Add honey and peanut butter to a medium sized saucepan.

Top Right – Heat over medium heat and stir until melty and well combined.

Bottom Left – Add in cheerios and stir to coat.

Bottom Right – Line a 9×9 baking pan with wax paper, and pour cheerio mixture into the pan. Press down with spatula or clean fingers to make sure bars lay evenly.

Lift the wax paper out of your pan and cut your bars into squares. I like to cut mine into 18 rectangles, to use for small lunchbox treats or after school snacks. My kids love them.
