During the summer Sarah and I are both kinda broken records about the heat because even though we are across the country from each other we both live where it is scorching HOT. Because of that, we love trading our favorite drink recipes and this cherry limeade is at the tippy top of my favorites list this year! It is easy, cheap to make, and I’ve never met anyone who didn’t completely obsess over it. The world’s best cherry limeade is no exaggeration… in my humble opinion ;).
Here’s a little video to show you just how quick it is to whip together!
- 1 can frozen limeade concentrate any brand
- 1 2 liter bottle of Sprite or equivalent soda
- 1 10 oz . jar maraschino cherries with juice
- 1 lime
- pebble ice optional
Chill all ingredients in fridge until cool.
Slowly pour Sprite, melty limeade and cherries into a large pitcher and mix slowly to preserve carbonation.
Fill glasses with pebble ice, then pour in your limeade.
Slice limes to garnish, and enjoy!
I am kind of a freak about pebble ice (I love it so much!) so when I am in charge of the beverage on any special occasion I jump at the chance to buy a bag from the local gas station! But it is definitely not a mandatory ingredient, just a fun one! This recipe was originally adapted from this Cherry Limeade recipe but it was just WAY too tart for me, hence the changes! If you like a super tart limeade then you will definitely want to check out the original variation though! No better way to cool off on a hot summer afternoon! Your taste buds will thank you!
