One of the best things about a wedge salad is how quick and easy it is to throw together! You can absolutely make this meal from start to finish in five minutes! I mean, you don’t even have to chop the lettuce!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a wedge salad?

A wedge salad is a salad typically made from a quarter of a wedge of iceberg lettuce! Then it is topped with crumbled bacon, blue cheese dressing, blue cheese crumbles, tomatoes and onion!

How do you wash lettuce for a wedge salad?

Many people assume that because the lettuce is not chopped that it hasn’t been washed. You should absolutely still wash your salad.

First, remove all brown or wilted leaves. Next, I like to cut my wedge in half or quarters and then rinse the whole half under the water thoroughly. Pat the outside down with a paper towel and then sit on a paper towel open side down to let all the excess water drain out.

How do you wedge iceburg lettuce?

You simply cut your entire head of lettuce in half, and then cut each half directly in half to make a quarter! You really can’t mess it up!
