Expecting another baby and want to get all your hand-me-downs organized? You will love these tips for how to organize baby clothes! This makes life with a new baby so much easier!

    How to organize baby clothes!

I am just about to welcome my second baby girl into the world! (Ahhh it's coming up so soon!) Anyway, I kept a LOT of my now toddler's baby clothes so that I wouldn't need to get anything for the next baby. I am feeling great about it now, especially since it's another girl, BUT it was getting to be a beast to keep everything organized. I had basically been throwing everything into one big plastic bin whenever she grew out of a size. As you can imagine, when I pulled it all out to go through it recently, it was clear that these things would not be useful to me if I couldn't find them at the right time! Especially when I am sleep-deprived with a new baby! So, I set out to find an easy solution to organize all the baby clothes and store them until I need them.

I could barely find any tips about this, for some reason? So when I found something that worked for me I had to share! I am so glad I did this. First, I got some gallon-sized plastic bags and some basic white sticky labels. I made a printable template so I could share them with you!

    How to Organize Baby Clothes

Sort everything into sizes, then seasons, and then categories.

Put items together in bags. For example I put all newborn sized onesies in a bag together, 3 to 6 months pajamas, and 6-12 month fall clothes together as well.

I put like items into these gallon sized and jumbo sized bags, and then labeled them so that when little miss #2 is in need of some tiny jeggings next fall, I can just grab the "pants/6 months" bag and we'll be good to go!

As you can see below, these labels are totally customizable to what you need!

Once you have printed both sets of labels, you can cut the size labels out and stick them to the bottom of the category labels. Easy as pie. Once all of your clothes are labeled and in bags, they are ready to be stored! I made sure to get all the air out of the bags before sealing them so that they wouldn't take up any extra space. For now, mine are in a chest in the nursery, but they would be safe and sound in a plastic bin in the attic or basement too!
