- These cookies can be frozen! I like to freeze the cookies and the frosting separately. Then thaw frosting at room temperature or in a cool water bath when ready to frost and eat.
- I always use parchment paper on my cookie trays when making cookies for best results. These pre-cut sheets are amazing!

These cookies are really, really good!

I’ll be honest, I was extremely hesitant to try sugar cookies from a childhood of failed Ez-oven disasters with cheap sugar cookie recipes that were better as dough than baked good. But damn, when I saw the pic of this recipe — I knew it was time to throw caution to the wind and get back out into the cookie scene. It was easy, simple, and by golly my taste buds felt like they were dancing on a chocolate rainbow. Thanks for this. Truly.

"In a shallow bowl place remaining 1/4 cup sugar." Remaining??? So, the sugar mixed with the butter should be 1 1/4 cups? Or is this an additional 1/4 cup sugar for the dip? Thanks -
Mandy Bird
Sorry! I fixed the ingredients. It should be 1 1/4 cup sugar with one cup in the dough and the remaining 1/4 cup used for flattening the cookies.
