If you are looking for getting-to-know-you activities, print these questions and put them on the table! This is a fun icebreaker for any gathering.

get to know you questions on paper flowers in glass vases

These Icebreaker Question centerpieces were a total hit at the last activity I planned.

We did this getting-to-know-you activity like you would do speed dating, but instead of dating, it was for making friends in our women's group at church. We called it 'Speed Friendshipping.'

This Icebreaker activity was so much fun! It got us all out of our shells and allowed us to get to know more people in a short time! No one wanted to stop chatting with each other.

You can print our Icebreaker questions for free and do this too.

Centerpieces for Getting to Know You Icebreakers

To make the centerpieces, I cut paper flowers out on my Cricut machine and print the questions on my laser printer (totally worth it if you print a lot. I never have to replace the ink!)

    Icebreaker Activity Equipment

    • Printer
    • Cricut Machine optional, see notes
    • Cricut LightGrip Mat
    • Pair of Scissors
    • Glue stick

    Centerpiece Craft Materials

    • Wooden skewers
    • Cardstock (2-3 colors)
    • White office paper

How to Make this Getting to Know You Activity

I made very simple paper flowers for this project, we do have a 3D paper flowers tutorial as well.

How to make Cricut Paper Flowers

    1. Put cardstock onto light grip mat.
    2. In design space, upload the ;getting to know you questions' file and when prompted to choose whether it's a 'cut' file or a 'print then cut', pick 'print then cut.'
    3. Add the uploaded image to your Design Space canvas and click 'Make it.'
    4. Follow the prompts in Design space to print and cut the question circles.

Good Getting to Know You Questions

    1. Print questions onto white printer paper.
    2. Cut the circles out with scissors.
    3. Glue circles onto flower shapes.
    4. Glue two flower shapes together back to back, with a skewer in between, so that the questions are facing out.
    5. Repeat until you have as many question flowers as you need.
    6. Put the flowers into jars in the middle of tables at your activity.

Get to Know You Activities Tips

You do not need to have a Cricut machine in order to make these, however, it will make cutting paper flowers much faster.

To cut paper flowers by hand, print a flower template, trace it with a pencil onto cardstock, and cut them out with scissors.

The printable has a total of 40 questions, and when glued back to back it will make 20 paper flowers. If you need more, print the papers again until you have as many as you need.

How to use these Getting to Know You Questions for Speed Friendshipping:

    • Set up three or four long tables in a row. This will depend on how many people you have coming to your gathering.
    • Put paper flowers in jars and set them in the middle of the tables.
    • Have guests sit at tables across from each other and set a timer for 3 or 5 minutes.
    • Tell them to start chatting and use the questions to get to know each other. When the timer is up, it's time to switch seats.
    • Guests on one side of the table will all move to the right, guests across from them will stay put. This way everyone has a new person to chat with.
    • Repeat for as long as people are having fun.

Other Getting to Know You Activities

You could use these questions for other get to know you activities as well! Cut them out and glue them onto any shape that goes with your party theme or holiday.

I'm sorry that it didn't work. That is frustrating. I just tested it out myself to see what's going on, and the email did come but it was in my spam folder. If you still want the questions and they didn't go to your spam folder or your inbox and you want me to send the file, please send an email to prettyprovidence@gmail.com and I will send it to you!
