If you haven’t yet tried homemade Italian dressing, today is your lucky day! Enter the best and easiest Italian dressing recipe of all time! It can be made completely in a mason jar and is perfect for dressing any salad, pasta salad, or just dipping veggies!

You will never like a store bought dressing, ever again. There, now that I’ve cleared the air get excited because not only is this the best Italian dressing ever, it’s also the easiest! 

Homemade Italian Dressing

Not only does this Italian dressing recipe taste better than store bought and come together in less than fifteen minutes, but it is free from preservatives and other additives that store bought dressings have, so it really is a win/win! It would taste amazing on one of these amazing green salad recipes, our incredible Italian pasta salad, or you can find all our awesome salad recipes here! 

Italian Dressing Recipe

I would have a tutorial for this, but literally all you do is dump the ingredients in a jar and shake vigorously… that’s really it!

Best Italian Dressing

Here are a few quick tips! If you have questions we didn’t answer please leave them below in the comments. 

Pro Tips: 

  • If you have a blendtec or other power mixer that incorporates the dressing really well. 
  • Be sure to re-shake up your dressing prior to serving each time. 
  • If you don’t prefer extra virgin olive oil, any other neutral oil like canola or vegetable will work fine. 
  • Dressing stores in the fridge in an airtight container for two weeks.

Equipment

  • Mason Jar or Blender

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Olive Oil Vegetable or Canola Oil can also be used
  • 1/2 Cup White Vinegar
  • 1/2 Cup Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 2 Teaspoons Salt
  • 3 Teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 1 TBSP. Sugar
  • 3 Teaspoons Oregano
  • 3 Teaspoons Basil

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients into a mason jar and shake vigerously until well incorporated.
