Marinated Cheese Appetizer Board

Simple cheese board with fruit, grapes, bread, chocolate, crackers.

To make Marinated Cheese, you need cubed cheese (I like sharp cheddar, white cheddar or cheddar jack) crackers, olive oil, white wine vinegar, parsley, garlic, diced pimentos, dried basil, sugar and salt. You'll also need a shallow container or mason jar with a lid to let the cheese marinate in overnight.

Add olive oil, white wine vinegar, parsley, green onions, garlic, diced pimentos, dried basil, sugar to a bowl or jar and mix well.

Pour over cheese cubes and let marinate in the fridge overnight.

How to Serve

  • Bring the marinated cheese to room temperature up to 30 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with crackers, fresh baguette, or on a charcuterie board.
  • Have appetizer picks available on the side, and small appetizer plates so guests can easily serve themselves.
  • You can make this and it will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.

This appetizer is best to make ahead and serve at room temperature. Leftovers should be stored in the fridge so they don't spoil!

Simple Charcuterie Board

This marinated cheese pairs well with lots of different things! I decided to add it to a cheese board I was making for a girls' night get-together recently.

This is the board I have and we love it - use it all the time!

My board had grapes, green apple slices, berries, dark chocolate, salami, olives, fresh baguette and two kinds of crackers. It was a total hit, and the cheese was the first thing to go!

I will definitely be making this again soon, it's perfect for game day parties and especially for the holidays! It helps a lot to have a good make-ahead appetizer that you can bring anywhere and serve at room temperature.

    1. I imagine red wine vinegar or apple cider could be used but it will have a different taste than the white wine vinegar. Let me know if you try it!
