Mandy from Mandy’s Recipe Box here! How’s everyone doing on their resolutions to eat healthier? I didn’t really make any of those because I never keep them. I try to eat healthy part time anyway, but a girl’s gotta have her treats. And I’m sorry, eating an apple is not the same as eating a cookie. I do love green apples with peanut butter, but sometimes you just want a cookie. Or something salty like chips and salsa. This is a semi-homemade salsa because it uses canned tomatoes, but it tastes like it came from your favorite Mexican restaurant. With just 4 ingredients, you can make a batch of this 5 Minute Dip for any occasion. It’ll be ready before the commercial break is over while you’re watching TV tonight!
1 (14.5 oz) can stewed tomatoes, undrained
1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chiles, undrained
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse to your desired consistency.
- Serve with a garnish of chopped cilantro. You can also add some to the salsa when mixing.
