This Jalapeño Ranch Burger is so good! The combination of creamy jalapeño ranch, with melty cheese, avocado and angus beef patty is actual perfection!
I can’t decide if it’s a blessing or a curse, but I do not like traditional burger toppings. When faced with them, I often opt for just a plain cheeseburger. I know, so boring?! But when I can, I always always go for a burger with avocado or guacamole on it. That, with some melty cheese and creamy jalapeño ranch – best burger of all! You need to experience this delicious combination.
I also strongly believe that you need a GOOD burger patty and a good bun in order to make a good burger. It doesn’t matter what you put on top of it, a patty made with low quality meat is not going to taste good!
I’ve been going to Randall’s lately for my burger stuff. They have these really great 4 packs of Open Nature® grass-fed patties. They are FRESH (not frozen) and ready to grill right when you open them. They taste amazing, truly. Here is a photo so you can see what they look like. Put these on your shopping list! We also buy high quality hamburger buns, produce, etc. at Randall’s because we get such great deals there. You can find them exclusively at any Albertsons grocery stores (including ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, Vons, Pavilions, Tom Thumb, Safeway, Shaw’s, Star Market, United Express, United Supermarkets or Carrs/Safeway.)
I also found these amazing crispy fried jalapeños there last time I was shopping and I thought they would be amazing on top of burgers. They really are! They have a bit of a kick to them though, so go easy on them if you are sensitive to spicy foods.
Try to tell me you aren’t craving a burger now…
Here’s the full recipe for the burgers, and below that is the recipe for Jalapeño Ranch. Will you try these next time you grill?
- 1 Open Nature angus beef patty
- 1 slice Monterrey Jack cheese
- 1/4 avocado sliced
- 1 tbsp jalapeño ranch recipe below
- crispy fried jalapeños optional
- 1 hamburger bun
Grill your burger over charcoal (or however you like to grill) to your liking.
While the burger is grilling, butter hamburger buns and slice cheese.
Slice avocado and get any sides ready.
When the burger comes off the grill, add a slice of cheese to the top of it. Throw your bun on the grill for 2 minutes or so, so it gets a little toasted.
Assemble burgers! Layer the burger with now melty cheese, avocado. Then top with Jalapeño ranch and crispy fried Jalapeños (if using.)
TA DA! Enjoy your Jalapeño ranch burger with fries, chips, grilled veggies, or just by themselves. You can't go wrong.
- 16 oz. sour cream
- 3-4 tbsp milk
- 1 package ranch dressing and dip mix
- 1 jalapeño chopped and seeded
- 3 tbsp cilantro chopped
- 1/2 lime
- 2 cloves garlic minced
Combine all ingredients in a blender - except the 1/2 lime. Don't throw the whole thing in, just squeeze the juice in with the rest of the ingredients.
Blend until liquefied. Add more milk if you prefer your dip to be runnier.
Enjoy with chips, on burgers, in tacos, over nachos, on salads. You get the idea. This stuff is good with everything!
See, you can totally make a fun, restaurant quality burger at home. I really hope you will try this!
