Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas is one of our favorite books, and we always watch the movies multiple times during December! (The newer animated version or the one with Jim Carrey, I love both!) This very green Grinch Punch is SUCH a fun treat to make for a Grinch movie night, a holiday party, or as part of your activity advent calendar! You can also make these DIY Grinch party cups - they are very easy to make with a Cricut machine.

Grinch Punch
Grinch Punch is made with Sprite Zero, Lemon Lime Kool-Aid and Lime Sherbet.
- In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine Sprite Zero with kool-aid powder and stir until the powder is dissolved.
- Add two large scoops of lime sherbet and stir.
- You can allow sherbet to melt, or wait put a little in each cup just before serving for more of a float.
Alternatives: You can substitute Sprite Zero with almost any lemon-lime soda or sparkling water.
Grinch Party Cups
I used my Cricut and some black vinyl to put the Grinch faces onto clear party cups. New to Cricut? Go check out this in-depth tutorial for making Vinyl Tumbler Decals and we also have Tips and Tricks for How to Use Cricut Transfer Tape.
Materials Needed:
- Clear party cups
- Black vinyl
- Cricut Machine
- StandardGrip Mat
- Weeding Tool
- Transfer Tape
I bought the Grinch face SVG from Etsy and used Cricut Design Space images to create the hearts.
- Load this design into Cricut design space, choose 'customize.' Then, upload the Grinch face SVG file into the canvas.
- Measure the front section of your cups and decide how big to make the faces. Mine were about 2" wide and 2" tall.
- Follow cutting instructions in the design space software.
- Weed extra vinyl from around the grinch face and inside the eyes.
- Use a small piece of transfer tape to apply the Grinch faces to your cups.
- Ta da!
Grinch Punch Heart Straws
You can make heart straws with or without a cutting machine.
Materials Needed:
- Red Cardstock
- QuickDry Tacky Glue
- LightGrip Mat
- Cricut machine
- White Straws
- Load design into Cricut Design Space. Load red card stock into the machine and follow cutting instructions.
- Fold rectangles into circles to fit the width of your straws.
- Use tacky glue to keep the circles together and then glue the circles to the back of the hearts.
- Slide hearts onto straws.

This is such an amazing idea! My nieces and nephews will go nuts over it. I looked at the glass tutorial and I don't have a cricut (or anything similar) to cut the vinyl. I wish my drawing skills were better! I found a seller on Etsy who makes the decals and gave me a deal since I ordered a lot. Can't wait to make these!
Sarah
Oh yay! Yes, I think they will go nuts for it, my kids did! :) Merry Christmas!
