Craft this easy felt eyeball garland for this year's Halloween decorations! It is made of inexpensive felt and takes less than an hour to make!
Hey guys. I'm excited to share an easy Halloween decoration and craft today! I LOVE how this Eyeball Garland turned out. Don't you think it's just the right amount of creepy meets cute?
I have a lot of hang-ups when it comes to decorating for Halloween. It's a strong NO to anything spider-related (my arachnophobia is real) and I actually don't love using orange in my home decor. I do like it in other people's homes, for the record. But to match my home's vibe, I decided to make a cute Halloween decoration in colors I love to add to my living room.
If you're feeling like crafting up some more Halloween decorations, consider this Felt Owl Decoration, my favorite No-Carve Pumpkin People or this Mummy Wreath!

Felt Eyeball Garland Halloween Decoration
Supplies:
- Black felt
- White felt
- Felt in colors of choice - my felt is from this Cricut sampler: "Spring Rain"
- Twine
- Fabric Scissors
- Glue Gun
There are two ways you can cut the felt to make the eyeballs for this Halloween decoration. One way is use a Cricut Maker machine to cut the felt. If you have one, follow the instructions directly below to cut the felt. I also have a detailed tutorial for how to cut fabric with the Cricut rotary blade.
If you want to make the round eyeballs by hand, you can! I have a tutorial for that coming right up.
*I don't have a template for cutting the eyeballs with eyelashes by hand, as that is a Cricut Design Space file.
How to Cut Felt Eyeballs by Hand
Supplies:
- 16 oz. can (like a standard can of soup or vegetables)
- 10 oz. can (like a can of tomato paste)
- U.S. quarter, .50 cent piece (or similar round item)
- Sharpie Marker
Instructions:
Trace 1o circles onto colored felt with a sharpie, using the 16 oz. can. Cut circles out with fabric scissors.
Next, trace 10 circles onto white felt using a 10 oz. can. Cut.
Finally, trace 10 circles onto black felt using a U.S. quarter, .50 cent piece or something similar in size and round, as a template.
Cut circles out. Use glue gun to attach white felt circles to the color circles. Then glue the black circles to the middle of the white circles.
How to Make the Eyeball Garland Halloween Decoration with Cricut Maker
Supplies If Using a Cricut Maker:
Instructions:
Pull up this Cricut Design Space canvas. Duplicate the shapes until you have the number of each that you want.
Click ' Make it.' The mats will populate separated by color. If you want to do different colors of the big circles like I did, repeat Mat #4 with each color of felt that you are using.
Add rotary blade to the Maker machine. Put felt onto fabric mat, click 'Go.' Repeat until all of the parts of the eyeballs are cut out.
Use a glue gun to attach white felt circles to the color circles. Then glue the black circles to the middle of the white circles.
Once the eyeballs are assembled and glue is dry, attach eyeballs to twine. Evenly space the felt eyeballs across twine, then put a dot of hot glue on the back of each eyeball at the very top.
Ta Da! Such a fun and easy Halloween decoration! I think this would be perfect for a craft night with friends and that way you could share materials and everything.
I also just have to add, that if you know the song I have quoted on my letter board, we are now best friends. If you don't know it, here it is. You're welcome.
If you do make this Halloween decoration, we'd love it if you'd leave a comment and a positive review!
